Write For Us

Write For Us At Lore

Lore Publication‘s blog is all about providing resources to writers to better their craft. We like brain food!

We love to champion articles from creatives across the globe and support new, upcoming writers by giving them a platform to share their ideas. We also love to be a platform that can bridge the divide between writers and high-quality information and insights to make them better at a craft they love.

To this end, we accept guest posts on Lore Publication for those looking to share their work, thoughts, or expertise.

Our Guest Post Policy

We do not accept money for any kind of guest post placement! This includes:

  • Offering us money to place a link on one of our blog posts
  • Offering us money to post an article with your website link on it
  • Offering us money to promote a product or service of any kind
  • Giving us a book review of a book you have written and/or are associated with in any capacity, or promoting your book/novel in any way with us through guest posting

We also aren’t interested in proposals for a series of articles from the same writer. Currently, we’re only interested in standalone articles.

What we do accept are:

  • High-quality, informative articles
  • Articles that have consideration for their SEO value
  • Long form articles of (at least) 800 – 1,000 words
  • Articles on the craft of writing, such as ‘how to’ style articles or opinion pieces
  • Book reviews (to be clear, it must be a review of a third party book you are not associated with in any way)

We will allow one do-follow link per guest post – and this link will be vetted!

The Guest Posting Process

So, you want to guest post with us. The first step is sending us a pitch or proposal via email. Do not send attachments. Send everything as text in an email please! Provide:

  • Your article topic and why you think it is a good fit for Lore
  • A rough outline of the content of the article (approx. word count, headers if you have any planned, and if the article will have FAQs)
  • A small cover note introducing yourself, your site, and your article

From here, we will review your proposal and get back to you ASAP. If we decide to go ahead with your pitch, we’ll ask:

  • For your backlink you intend to place (so we can vet it)
  • For a backlink on your own website (your website will also be vetted)
  • The article completed in full, ready to be edited

We’ll then read your article, suggest any edits, and when everyone is happy we’ll post the article on the Lore Blog (with the writer credited). Of course, if you don’t want to be credited as the article’s writer, your name can be omitted upon request. We’ll also outline our expectations for a backlink placement on your own website during the communications we’ll have.

Sound good? We’re waiting on your email!
